You select the theme of your party (see below). You decide whether you'd like your party in the morning, afternoon or evening. Decided? Next, you contact Elizabeth Gallagher and confirm the theme and date details of your personalised Wise Caterpillar Personal Growth Party.

After receiving a small non-refundable deposit, Elizabeth will start her party preparations. She'll select a range of activities that will help you explore the theme of your choice. She'll develop a "Party Pack" for each person to take home with them after the event. She'll also do her best to design an event that will be both fun and thought provoking for everyone attending.

In the meantime, you select a venue for your party (this might be a room at your house, a room in the local pub or community centre or, if it's summer, a space in someone's garden). Then you invite your family and friends (remember to inform them that there's a small fee involved - see below for details). Finally, you arrange some snacks and beverages for the party, and prepare to have a great time!

A Wise Caterpillar "Personal Growth Party" can be held for up to 20 people. Parties must have a minimum 6 adults attending. Each adult is charged a fee for their participation in the event (the booking host/ess pays nothing other than the deposit). Any 13 to 17 year-olds attending are charged at half the agreed adult rate. Children under the age of 13 are free.

Each Personal Growth Party is designed to last around three hours. Timing of the event is decided between the host/ess and Elizabeth. Most Personal Growth Parties are designed to be suitable for people of 13 to 103. However, the particular topic you choose, and your own perspective on personal growth, will also influence whether children and young people may attend the event*.

Health and Safety

It is very important to pay attention to your health and safety during the event. At all times during the event, participants are expected to pay due care and attention to their own safety and the safety of others present. Anyone invited to participate in an activity that they feel may hazard themselves or others in any way, will be asked to withdraw from the specific activity. Where Elizabeth is advised in advance, she will design the Personal Growth Party to take into account the physical or sensory requirements of specific individuals.

Please remember that Elizabeth designs each event in good faith. She asks that you co-operate with her in identifying and minimising any environmental, interpersonal or task related risks that may affect your Wise Caterpillar Personal Growth Party.

Booking Limitations

Bookings are accepted on the understanding that a £50 non-refundable deposit is paid (it is transferable, once, to a later party date). Wise Caterpillar Personal Growth Parties are, at present, usually only available in the East Midlands of England (please contact Elizabeth if you'd like to propose an event further afield).

Each event will be facilitated on the understanding that a minimum of six people participate in the party and that each person over 13 has paid their fee for attending the event. Smaller groups and/or attendance by non-paying individuals will result in Elizabeth declining to facilitate the event. Elizabeth reserves the right to accept or reject bookings from any particular individual or group or for any particular date.

Attendance by Children and Young People

*Please note that Elizabeth will not facilitate any party themed around intimate relationships or sexuality issues if there are children present.

13 to 17 year-olds may attend and participate in most parties if their parents or guardians agree and remain present throughout the event. In any and every event, all childcare responsibilities lie with the parents and guardians of the children and young people concerned.
